business and production premises of the Nuclear
Power Plant Krško:

• Cleaning of the inner (primary and secundary areas)
and outdoor surfaces
• Maintenance of the buildings and the surroundings

Services in the Radiation Controlled Area |
Kostak Utilities Management & Civil Engineering,
with headquarters at Leskovška cesta 2 a, 8270
Krško, has been performing services in the Radiation
Controlled Area (RCO) of Krško Nuclear Power Plant
(NEK) during operation as well as during refueling.
The following tasks have been performed in
different areas of work:
• Cleaning the radiation controlled areas of Nuclear
Power Plant
• Cleaning equipment and components
• Preparing and maintaining work equipment in the
RCO
• Waste collection and their segregation at the site
of formation
• Transport of waste and separation in the sorting
area of NEK
• Decontaminating working surfaces and equipment
• Decontaminating reuse material
• Sorting of decontaminated material for taking out
of RCO and for placing it to the radioactive
waste
• Cooperation in preparing radioactive waste for
storage:
- Pressing and super compacting
- Preparing liquid radioactive waste for drying
- Preparing solid waste for burning and melting
- Logistics of sorting radioactive waste in the temporary
radioactive waste storehouse
• Washing and drying protection clothes for reuse
• Internal transport of protective equipment to the
control points of RCO
